FP01 REFERENCE MAIN BOARD / RELAYX8 REV 4.0
RELAYX8 is an 8-circuit relay output reference board that carries SAIence's common control board FP01. On RS485 commands, FP01 switches the 8 latching relays (AC 250 V 5 A) on RELAYX8 ON/OFF per circuit or per group.

01 — HOW IT WORKS
SAIence sells the common control board FP01 and the software that runs on it. RELAYX8 is a reference board verified in combination with FP01. After confirming operation with the evaluation test board, the customer builds the production main board to suit the application and enclosure.
NOTEThis page presents RELAYX8 as one example of a main board used with FP01. For FP01 itself, see the FP01 product page →.
02 — SYSTEM
FP01 handles communication, processing and relay control; the main board carries the power supply, RS485 driver, relays and drive circuits. Because the roles are divided, the function changes simply by redesigning the main board.
Receives 12-byte commands from the higher-level controller. The driver IC is mounted on RELAYX8.
RELAYX8The RA4M1 on FP01 interprets commands and manages the ON/OFF state of 8 local addresses and groups.
FP01On instruction from the RA4M1, outputs relay control signals for 8 circuits.
FP01The drive circuits on RELAYX8 drive the Set / Reset coils of the dual-coil latching relays and switch each of the 8 load circuits ON/OFF.
RELAYX803 — 8CH RELAY
RELAYX8 has 8 local addresses. In addition to switching each relay ON/OFF, it can switch them together per group (ON / OFF / TOGGLE of the v command). Click the cards below to try it.
* Contact movement is for illustration. Each relay is a latching type with a 1a contact (AC 250 V 5 A) that switches between two terminals (RelayNa / RelayNb) on the terminal block.
04 — SERIES
The FP01 firmware identifies the main board by its module type ID and switches the number of local addresses and the control method. RELAYX8 is type ID 4 (8 local addresses). For every type, the customer builds the main board; SAIence provides reference boards verified in combination with FP01 for evaluation.
