Information for
dimmer development
The purpose of this site is to lower the hurdle of building dimmers and to support developers. For design engineers, planners and small businesses, it publishes the FP01 control board, reference boards, the case and technical specifications. In Japan, facility engineering is also supported.
- FP01SAIence sells FP01 only. Its board size can be adjusted to fit your case.
- Main boardNot sold by SAIence. You design and manufacture it for your application. Reference boards and technical specifications are published.
- CaseThe commercial ELBAG MR9/HDA. You can buy it directly from the manufacturer.
Board and component pages
Pages for FP01 itself, the reference boards verified in combination with FP01 (offered as evaluation test boards), input devices and the case. Reference boards are not products for sale; the main board for production is designed and manufactured by the customer for the application.
FP01Rev2.1
Common control board for lighting control. Dual MCU with an Arduino UNO R4 compatible RA4M1 and a PSoC 4, controlling phase dimming, relays, PWM dimming and DMX with one command set. Supplied as a set: board, Arduino sketch and PSoC driver. The board size can be adjusted to fit your case.

Triple rotary encoder that operates FP01 over RS485. Up to 7 encoders with ROTARY02N extension boards.
View page → CASE · CUSTOMER PURCHASEMR9_HDA.htmlMR9/HDACASE
Commercial DIN-rail mounting case that holds FP01 and the main board in two tiers. Customers can buy it directly from the manufacturer.
View page →The 3D animation above uses the same models as the MR9/HDA case page: it shows the finished module, then the order in which the main board and FP01 are assembled into the DIN-rail mounting case. The main board changes each loop: DIMX4 → PWMX4 → RELAYX8 → RS485X.
Technical specification pages
Pages that collect specifications shared across boards, such as the interface between FP01 and the main board. Use them as reference material when designing a main board.
FFC connector specificationFFC_Rev2
Pin map of the 40-pin FFC. Compares UNO R4 and PSoC 4 pin numbers and FP01 signal names with the assignments of DIMX4, PWMX4, RELAYX8 and RS485X.
View page → SYSTEM · WIRINGSYSTEM_Rev03.htmlLighting control system configurationRev03
RS485 connections between the modules in a dimmer panel, switches, input modules, the setup PC / HA and other panels. Wiring diagrams per circuit, cables, terminal blocks and command flow.
